Mission- the “Tantra Mahavidya” project
IBIS mission is to create a CD for each of the 10 Great Cosmic Powers of the Tantric Tradition, the so called Mahavidyas or wisdom Goddesses. The aim of each CD is to create a set of tunes which convey different aspects of the resonance of the Goddess, allowing the listener to merge with her and to gain deeper understanding of her nature.

About IBIS
IBIS is formed by Hans Hvass and Mariah Claiere, starting their co-operation in 2001 making electronic based soundtracks for theater plays, art performances and short movies.
In 2008 IBIS made its first release (MEDITATIVE SPACES) distributed by Fønix Music. In 2009 IBIS released “KALI”, the first CD in a row of 10, portraying the 10 Tantric Goddesses – The “Tantra Mahavidya” project was born.

Hans was raised in the Kingdom of Swaziland in Southern Africa by a Hong Kong Chinese Mother and Danish Father. He then lived in Hong Kong and France before he met Mariah in Denmark in 2000, at the Music Conservatory of Copenhagen. She had lived in India since the age of 19, studying tantra yoga and classical Indian music.

IBIS are modern pilgrims and have together visited more than 40 countries of the world, focusing on places of spiritual magic, assimilating different arts, spiritual and musical traditions.
